What: Day of Rest.
When: Fri 25th Sep 2026, 10.00–17:00
Audience: Anyone who needs a little TLC, which let’s face it, is all of us. The practices are gentle, and suitable for all bodies, whether pregnant, knackered new parents, or navigating injuries. Wear comfy clothes, bring a notepad and pen, and come exactly as you are.
About: When did you last rest? Not sit in front of the telly and scroll rest, but properly switch off for a day. Can’t remember? Thought so. Day of Rest is an opportunity to press pause, move your body gently and slowly, meet some lovely people and have a proper good lie down. Below is a rough schedule out of the day. Everything is optional, so feel free to dip in and out of the below as and when you feel.
Welcome circle and a cuppa
A slow yoga flow, suitable and adaptable for all bodies, followed by a yin practice.
A walk through the Priory grounds and beautiful countryside. An optional cold dip in the river if you’re brave.
A gorgeous vegetarian lunch from Natural Balance Kitchen.
Space to write, read and reflect. Bring your book!
A restorative yoga practice – think bolsters, blankets and long restful holds, into a yoga nidra snooze.
